Zahra Jafarian, M.A., is a licensed bilingual (Farsi/English) speech and language pathologist with more than 15 years experience working with individuals exhibiting a variety of communication difficulties.  She has an extensive knowledge working with adults and children.

She worked for San Diego Unified School District as a speech and language assistant while working on her B.A. and M.A. degree. She completed her graduate studies and received her M.A. in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State University. She was an honor student and accelerated in her studies. She was on the Dean's List as well. She completed her internship at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Medical Center, conducting diagnostic evaluation and therapy for adult patients recovering from strokes, head injuries, laryngectomies and swallowing disorders.

Zahra has been conducting diagnostic evaluations and therapies for adults and children of all ages in a variety of settings (hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and her private-practice). One of the areas of her expertise beside working with adults lies on working with bilingual children (18 months- 3 years) exhibiting speech and language delays or disorders. Her expertise are focused on working with individuals exhibiting mild to severe disorders of language and physical disabilities.

She takes great pride in building a trusting and respectful relationship between her clients, the clients' families and her office staff. Her goal is to work in harmony and utilize her skills and many years of experience with a variety of patients and disorders. She loves her work and gives full attention to her patients' needs as well as promoting a healthy relationship between family members and the individual that exhibits the disorder. The facility is child-friendly and promotes special growing skills in a unique environment. It enables clients to learn and develop a continuous growth within.

Our Clinic provides what the patients need. Since there is a necessity in giving quality care in a gentle and effective manner, the therapists' relationship with the patient is critical for diagnostic purposes. In this Clinic, what is most unique is the true QUALITY and CARE that is provided in an outmost manner. Individual and group sessions are not only available but are catered to the needs and available times of the patients. The Clinic takes pride in its methodology and therapy.

California Speech and Language Therapy Center also provides assessment and progress reports which help families and their doctors keep track of patient development. We take pride in our work and outstanding reports as well as our wonderful patients.
